It was a perfect spring day for racing this
past Friday and the drivers at Chateau Raceway put on an almost perfect
show. The caution flag was seen very few times during the 18 race program
popping up just three times during the nights heats, once during the
WISSOTA Midwest Mod Consy, and only seven times during the five Features with
no feature seeing more than two yellows and one even running caution free.
The Mod Lite class saw a dominating show put
on by Brian Kiehne of Harmony who swept his two races on the night.
Favorable front row starting spots in both his races gave him nothing but clean
track ahead of him and he lead every lap of both races to score the
wins. The Father-Son Combo of Jeff and Drew Jech of

After an afternoon of getting the track
ready to go with no rain the event for tonight was rained out. 118 cars tested
the weather and for awhile it looked like we may make it but the yellow blimp
on the radar screen got us. We were able to get the Midwest Modifieds and the
Street Stock heats done and the Late Model makeup feature on the track before
it started to rain. The event was called off and next week will be a full show
plus the Late Model make up feature from 04/17.
All people in the stands and the pits were given the option of refunding their
money or to hold their wristband/tickets for next weeks show.
